Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary Education Professional to join our team at the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board. As an Intermediate Division Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with multiple exceptionalities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement inclusive instructional strategies
  • Use digital learning technologies to enhance instructional practice and student engagement
  • Implement the principles of Universal Design for Learning and use student data to drive instruction
  • Develop and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
  • Participate in professional learning teams to promote student achievement

Requirements:

  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division
  • Special Education Part I
  • Preferred Requirements: Special Education Part II or Specialist, Additional qualifications in Reading, A sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above listed division
