About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join MD Financial Management as a Senior Client Service Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
  • Account Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of client documentation, including account openings and transaction requests, while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Client Data Management: Maintain the currency and accuracy of client contact databases, ensuring all relevant information is recorded correctly and up-to-date.
  • Meeting Coordination: Book and coordinate client meetings, preparing necessary materials and ensuring a seamless experience for clients and advisors.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure monthly compliance-related tasks are completed, including following up on non-compliant paperwork and security logs.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in creating financial plans for clients, entering financial data and creating client family trees and corporate structure diagrams.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with other lines of business to develop mutual client growth strategies and liaise with third-party professionals to obtain client data.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of financial documents and their impact on clients' circumstances to elevate advisors' ability to service clients.
  • Client Experience: Actively respond to client requests, ensuring an exceptional client experience and managing client concerns with applicable MD experts.
  • Marketing and Events: Assist with marketing campaigns and participate in client events to prospect and discuss MD Signature offerings.
  • Operational Excellence: Pursue effective and efficient operations, adhering to Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma in business, commerce, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of administrative experience in financial services, with internal experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: IIROC licensed or willingness to become licensed within 12 months of hire, completion of the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the financial services industry, rules regarding estates, trusts, and investment products, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and working knowledge of CRM2.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate in French as a secondary language.
