We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Watson Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Schedule all chemotherapy, injections, labs, scans, biopsies, education, financial counselor, bone marrow, and physician appointments according to written orders.
- Adhere to all scheduling protocol guidelines.
- Enter all lab and diagnostic test in diagnostic test tracking template and labs in soft lab according to written orders.
- Enter referrals/precepts timely and consult requests.
- Accept responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures.
- Provide patient and family pre-test instructions as directed by physician.
- Utilize good standards for phone etiquette and recognize and respond to emergency situations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
