Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Ventura Foods. As a Millwright (Nights), you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and performance of production equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safety Standards, SOP's, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of packing and process equipment in food manufacturing.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving.
  • Conduct PM programs according to standards.
  • Responsible for equipment changeover, set up, take down, and relocation of all packaging equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems.
  • Respond to equipment problems in a timely and customer-oriented manner.
  • Integrate all plant, quality, safety, and security policies and guidelines into all day-to-day activities on the job.
  • Perform other work as assigned by duly authorized Supervisor or Team Leader.
Requirements:
  • 443A Millwright license or relevant demonstrated experience with both processing and packaging equipment such as homogenizers, process valves, pumps, heat exchangers, rotary fillers, bottle sleevers, etc.

Work Environment:

This is a night shift position, and you will be required to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards.
