Job Title: Respiratory Medicine Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Health PEI. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory medicine services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing medical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, and pneumonia
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and procedures to determine the cause of respiratory symptoms
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to manage respiratory conditions
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory medicine services

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Completion of a residency program in respiratory medicine or a related field
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the province of Prince Edward Island
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
