About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Addiction Recovery Counselor to join our team at Atlantic Human Services Inc.


Job Summary:


The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to individuals in recovery from addiction, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans for clients
  • Conduct regular assessments and progress evaluations
  • Provide education and support on addiction recovery and relapse prevention
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements:



  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology)
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
