Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in US and Canadian tax, laws and regulations for our multinational gaming company. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the gaming or e-commerce industries and be responsible for managing the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with US and Canadian laws and regulations, including tax and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth and profitability
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to the senior management team to support decision-making
  • Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
  • Oversee the company's financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
  • Manage the company's cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support operations and growth
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team and ensure they effectively manage their responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification
  • 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least five years of experience in a senior financial management position (CFO responsibilities preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of US and Canadian laws and regulations, focusing on tax. In addition, knowledge of international tax would be favourable
  • Prior experience in the gaming or e-commerce industries, specifically in a multinational environment, is a strong advantage
  • Experience managing a fast growing business or division would be advantageous
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
