Mainstreet Equity Corp is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles on walls and floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be covered with tiles, measuring and marking them accurately.
- Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, applying pressure to affix them to the base, and aligning and straightening them to ensure a perfect fit.
- Grouting and Finishing: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, leaving a clean and professional finish.
- Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring the integrity of the installation.
- Additional Tasks: Build underbeds, install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, and cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
- Work Conditions: This role is physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to Detail: You must have excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Tools and Equipment: You will be required to provide your own steel-toed safety boots.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Schedule: 32 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
