AL SPRAY FOAM & DRYWALL SISTEM Inc. is seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with expertise in spray foam and drywall installation. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements;
  • Selecting the appropriate type of insulation required;
  • Instructing apprentices;
  • Measuring and cutting insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools;
  • Applying and securing insulation using various application and installation methods;
  • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs;
  • Installing vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials;
  • Supervising other workers;
  • Brushing waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials;
  • Fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers;
  • Estimating costs and materials;
  • Operating CADD and other computer software systems;
  • Assembling, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment;
  • Removing asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings;
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in spray foam and drywall installation;
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks;
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
