Beauty Therapist

At Lorenzo Salon & Spa, we are currently seeking an experienced Esthetician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various beauty treatments and will be able to provide exceptional customer service.
Work Term and ConditionsThe successful candidate will be working on a temporary basis, with a 40 hour work week. English is the primary language spoken in the work environment.
Requirements- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
The Esthetician will be working in an esthetician's salon, beauty shop or aesthetic service, day spa, or spa environment. The tasks will include body care/treatments, permanent hair removal, providing general information to customers on beauty products, advising on beauty products suited to customers' colouring and skin type, laser hair removal, applying make-up on customers, cleaning, trimming and polishing nails, eyebrow tinting, facials, providing therapeutic foot massage, maintaining and building own clientele, performing cashiering duties, providing product demonstrations, scheduling and confirming appointments, selling establishments products, manicures, pedicures, skin care, skin peels, waxing, referring clients with unusual skin conditions to physicians, eyebrow threading, and eyelash extensions.
Certifications and LicensesThe Esthetician certification is required for this position.
Area of Work ExperienceCosmetician/cosmetologist, Esthetician, Manicurist, Pedicurist, and Nail and lashes applicator experience is considered an asset.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThe Esthetician will be required to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and hand-eye co-ordination.
Personal SuitabilityThe ideal candidate will possess accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player qualities.
