Job Title: Group Home Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at Youth First Miramichi Inc.

Job Summary:

The Group Home Worker will provide support and care to clients living in our group home, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living support to clients, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and personal care.
  • Assist clients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Encourage clients to participate in recreational activities and outings.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or health status.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work or child and youth care.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as children and youth with mental health challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
