AGAT Laboratories is a leading provider of laboratory services in Canada, with a strong presence in the environmental, energy, and life sciences sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Services Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB.

Job Summary:

This is an entry-level role that involves conducting field sampling and analysis at various sites across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing samples, conducting field tests, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field sampling and analysis at various sites, including oil and gas facilities, environmental monitoring stations, and other locations as required.
  • Collect and process samples, including water, soil, and air samples, using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Conduct field tests, including pH, conductivity, and turbidity measurements, using portable equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of sampling and analysis activities, including sample collection, processing, and testing results.
  • Participate in on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Travel to various sites, including remote locations, as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training or experience.
  • Knowledge of oilfield operations, environmental monitoring, and laboratory procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and samples, with physical stamina to work in outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract, with ability to operate company vehicles.
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, PST, CSTS certifications, or willingness to obtain.
