Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Ramada by Wyndham. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
  • Portion and wrap foods, and keep records of food quantities used.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and handle and store cleaning products.
Work Environment:

As a Kitchen Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and team player required.
Work Conditions:

This is a permanent position, working 36 to 44 hours per week. The work language is English.
