Job Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Processing team as a Supervisor in the Afternoons. In this role, you'll oversee daily processing operations, manage a team, and ensure efficient workflow and high-quality standards. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills while contributing to our mission to improve people's lives.
Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance:
Develop and implement safety initiatives within the department.
Collaborate with the department to ensure compliance and training efforts are met.
Maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of production areas.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to mandated compliance.
- Manufacturing Coordination:
Coordinate all department activities to achieve goals and objectives.
Foster effective communication within the group and across functions/shifts.
Interact with various groups to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Material and Operations Control:
Manage the control of material flows within the department.
- Problem Solving and Improvement:
Analyze complex issues within the department and develop solutions to implement improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to produce high-quality products.
Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they meet industry standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of processing procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
- Performance Evaluation:
Evaluate the performance of processing team members and provide feedback to improve performance.
- Training and Communication:
Provide comprehensive training to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Communicate departmental results through team discussions and documents.
Requirements
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Process Management: Strong understanding of processing workflows and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Quality Control: Knowledge of quality control principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to address processing issues and implement improvements.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
- Training and Development: Experience in training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in processing operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Familiarity with processing software and tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
