We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Developer for a challenging role in the Department of National Defence, requiring a strong background in software development and experience working with classified systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement large scale distributed systems, adhering to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Provide 1st and 3rd line of support for classified data center infrastructure, leveraging expertise in SQL server, RabbitMQ, and Azure DevOps.
- Manage applications governed by Canada's Controlled Goods Program and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations, ensuring compliance and security.
- Develop large scale distributed systems, working across multiple locations, and integrating multiple business applications using SOA methodologies.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in engineering or computer science and possess a minimum of 120 months of demonstrated experience as a software developer.
- Demonstrate experience working at least 12 months as a Principal or Lead Software Developer, designing, developing, testing, and implementing projects that led to the successful introduction of software applications.
- Proven expertise in technologies such as SQL server 2016, RabbitMQ 3.7.x, Visual Studio 2015, .net Framework 3.5, .net Core 2.0, and Azure DevOps.
- Must have experience working in a large scale classified distributed CIS environment, providing support to a classified data center infrastructure, and managing applications governed by Canada's Controlled Goods Program and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
