Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Capital Works Labourer to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a Capital Works Labourer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our contracted assets, including bridges, roadways, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bridges, roadways, and other infrastructure to ensure they are safe and in good condition for drivers.
  • Traffic Control: Set up and remove traffic control equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including traffic control equipment, vac trucks, boom trucks, and dump trucks.
  • Material Handling: Work with concrete, asphalt, and steel, including welding, cutting, and forming.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency rail repairs, end treatment repairs, fencing, and other emergency work as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in bridge/road construction and maintenance.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid G driver's license and a good driving record to drive company vehicle. DZ license is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate, perform basic math skills, and interpret instructions. Highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability.
Work Environment

The incumbent will spend time completing field work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
