The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, conducting research in your area of specialization, and contributing to the development of our academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Teach one or more university subjects, advise students on course and academic matters, and direct research programs of graduate students.
- Research: Conduct research in your area of specialization, prepare special lectures and presentations for conferences and consultations, and publish research findings in reputable journals.
- Service: Serve on faculty committees dealing with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues, and participate in departmental and university service activities.
- Education: Earned doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent experience in industry or academia.
- Skills: Strong research and teaching skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
