The University of New Brunswick, Department of Psychology, invites applications for a 12-month 0.6 FTE Reduced Load Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based supervision to PhD students completing practicum placements at the Psychological Wellness Centre (PWC).

The PWC is the Department's in-house training clinic, offering practicum opportunities in assessment and therapy for Clinical Psychology PhD students. The centre provides low-cost services to UNB students and the wider community.

The Assistant Professor position involves providing supervision to trainees in adult assessment, child assessment, and adult therapy. The ideal candidate will have clinical training and interests in these areas and be able to supervise trainees effectively.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Clinical Psychology, be registered with the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick, and demonstrate strong evidence of effectiveness in clinical supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing evidence-based supervision to PhD students
  • Developing and implementing clinical training programs
  • Collaborating with the PWC team to provide low-cost services to the community
  • Contributing to the Department's research and teaching initiatives
