We are seeking a motivated and results-driven District Sales Manager to lead our retail stores in Newfoundland and Labrador. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive store performance and growth, while making a positive impact on our customers' lives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of store operations, including logistics, retail merchandising, automotive service, and horticulture. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with dealers and store staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and execution of customized business plans to achieve financial and operational goals for stores within your district.
  2. Identify opportunities to increase store performance and develop action plans to address gaps.
  3. Coach and support dealers on executing sales, merchandising, and marketing initiatives to drive store performance.
  4. Establish yourself as the central point of contact to support driving in-store performance.
  5. Monitor store standards and customer experience measures to protect the Canadian Tire brand.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the retail industry, with a focus on driving sales.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, including logistics, retail merchandising, automotive service, and horticulture.
  • Canadian Tire retail store leadership experience is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships.
  • Ability to coach and train individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships.
  • Experience using data and analytics to perform root cause analysis and inform solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and active listening.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
