We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at NBC. As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic support of companies across Canada, providing expert advice and guidance to help them achieve their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services to clients, leveraging your high-level professional knowledge and experience to identify and address their financial needs.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that meet clients' business objectives, using a combination of specialized financing products and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop sector-specific funding strategies and guidelines, supporting the growth and development of our clients.
  • Support account managers and senior managers in the implementation of new financing files and the monitoring and renewal of existing files.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks to the bank, providing recommendations to reduce or eliminate them.
  • Participate in the preparation of files, including the analysis and establishment of financing structures for companies.
  • Represent the bank in preliminary meetings and presentations to clients, showcasing our financing solutions and expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and finalize financing agreements.
  • Use credit risk and profitability assessment tools to ensure compliance with funding and risk management policies and standards.
Requirements
  • Completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and 7 years of relevant experience OR completed Master's degree, related to the industry, and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in complex trade credit, acquisition loans, and knowledge of business products and services.
  • Experience analyzing complex financial models.
  • Experience in customer service, negotiation, and business development.
  • Ability to manage priorities and timelines.
  • Interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Knowledge of capital market debt instruments an asset.
  • Experience in syndicated financing an asset.
