We are seeking a skilled Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of resident suites, public areas, and support areas. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will ensure that our residents live in a comfortable and safe environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work with seniors and be able to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment. You will be able to handle multiple priorities, possess excellent written and verbal skills, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
  • Collecting, cleaning, and redistributing community laundry
  • Properly sorting, washing, and drying linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Responsible for trash collection and removal and maintaining trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean, sanitary manner
  • Assists Care Givers and Department Leaders with resident care when requested

Qualifications:

  • Desire to work with seniors
  • High School diploma / GED preferred
  • Able to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and competent in organizational, time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
