Lead Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Applied Scientist to join our remote/hybrid team. As a machine learning expert, you will develop high-quality ML models, conduct statistical analysis, and apply the latest technologies to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy machine learning pipelines to enhance decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional leaders for data-driven decisions
  • Design and implement data strategies to promote Autodesk products and influence development and strategy
  • Report to the Applied ML Manager, mentor junior team members, and contribute to key ML features

Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Statistics/Analytics, Computer Science, or other relevant fields
  • 4+ years of industry experience in designing, analyzing, and deploying machine learning-based solutions
  • Experience working with relational SQL and/or NoSQL databases, big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Hive), and cloud computing (AWS)
  • Fluency with Python, Java, Scala, and experience with data science toolkits like pandas, Jupyter, scikit, TensorFlow
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques, e.g., classification, clustering, regularization, optimization, dimension reduction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Initiative to take on big ideas and transform them into insights through data mining
  • Familiarity with MLOps and ability to optimize ML workflows
  • Research experience leading to publications

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year. Autodesk offers a competitive compensation package, including discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
