Job Summary

Driftwood Diamond Drilling Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Manual or Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment: Safely operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Operate Flame-Cutting Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal parts and products.
  • Operate Metal Shaping and Bending Machines: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape and bend metal parts and products.
  • Determine Weldability of Materials: Determine the weldability of materials to ensure safe and effective welding processes.
  • Maintain and Repair Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Equivalent Experience: Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
