About the Role
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Compliance Specialist to join our team as a Reliability Specialist Lead, focusing on ARS compliance roles in the electricity/utility industry.
  • The successful candidate will provide compliance support to Suncor's Oilsands Operations to ensure adherence to Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) for power generation and transmission assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate AESO audits and Self-certifications, prepare self-reports, and maintain accurate and organized evidence meeting internal and external specifications.
  • Ensure Suncor remains compliant with ARS requirements by establishing effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Analyze and support projects for Critical Infrastructure Protection compliance and system reliability.

Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office located in the Suncor Energy Centre.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended work hours based on business needs.
  • Occasional business travel (10-15%) may be required.
