Senior Data Systems Architect for Cloud Platforms

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Systems Architect to join our Platform Services and Emerging Technologies organization at Autodesk, Inc. in Toronto, ON, CAN.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the architecture and technical vision of building and operating highly scalable, distributed data-intensive microservices.
The successful candidate will champion industry best practices, align the technical direction with business needs, and lead multiple teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Leverage strong computer science fundamentals to design complex systems that manage different data workloads.
- Help map domain models into data services and storage techniques that can scale to millions of users.
- Collaborate with software architects and product managers to build new platforms, product offerings, and experiences.
- Align technical decisions with business goals and drive adoption of emerging technologies.
- Mentor engineers and build high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in building large-scale systems and 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of database systems, including scalability, performance, and consistency characteristics.
- Experience with modern technology stacks, API design, microservices, and stream processing.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex problems to diverse audiences.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 based on the company's average salary range for similar positions in Toronto, ON, CAN.
