Early Childhood Assistant Float Opportunity

Be the spark that ignites a child's potential. We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant Float to join our team at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Assistant Float, you will provide exceptional care and support to children in our Before and After School Programs. Your role will involve:

  • Providing personal care and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in a group setting
  • Actively engaging with children and promoting a nurturing environment
  • Planning and implementing play-based learning activities in accordance with our curriculum
  • Communicating effectively with families, staff, and volunteers
  • Creating an inclusive environment that supports the needs of all children
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 27.5 hours per week, split-shifts
