Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Population Health team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of business strategies and initiatives that drive population health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to the designated program team, as well as other Population Health leadership, by applying expert knowledge in data analysis, data mining, and performance reporting.
  • Develop and implement reporting requirements by reviewing clinical, financial, human resource, and operational data.
  • Apply knowledge in performance measurement and benchmarking methodologies to develop performance reports.
  • Prepare strategic business cases and supporting documents, briefing papers, and tactical reports for submission to the Ministry of Health, Fraser Health Executive, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Population Health team, senior management, staff of various organizational units, and other internal and external stakeholders in support of the mission, philosophies, and goals of the designated program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years' recent related experience in decision support, business analysis, performance reporting, and/or healthcare management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical, administrative, and financial data.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational multidimensional database concepts.
  • Knowledge of other healthcare disciplines and their role within healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare economics and statistics.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
