About the Role

MistyWest is seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing programs that interface with and control physical devices.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and designers to complete both product development and research tasks in various industries and market segments.

We are currently working on an exciting project and require your expertise to help us achieve our goals over the next 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop firmware and embedded software for connected products using BLE, WiFi, and LTE technologies.
  • Design and implement low-level drivers and application-level firmware.
  • Work with embedded Linux and RTOS for microcontrollers, including freeRTOS.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, static analysis tools, and automated test suites.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify software/firmware requirements, plan architecture, and communicate with the project team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in firmware and software development.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, RTOS, and microcontroller programming.
  • Experience with unit testing, static analysis, and automated testing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
