About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Tingley's Harvest Center in Vegreville, Alberta. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex agricultural equipment, ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair and adjust equipment, replacing defective parts as needed, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform pre-season delivery inspections and pre-season inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Complete work orders and enter technician notes into our computer system, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety standards, prioritizing the protection and wellness of our employees and customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, traveling to customers' sites to diagnose and repair equipment, as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on agricultural equipment, a significant asset, but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • No specific education requirement, but a strong foundation in mechanics and repair techniques is essential.
  • Two to three years of work experience in a similar role, an asset, but not necessary.
