JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of specialized equipment in assigned 7-Eleven stores. Service calls are initiated from the store via work orders to the appropriate technician.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responds to work orders for equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, hot beverage, cold beverage, fountain/backroom ice makers, hot food, and fuel dispensers.
2. Responsible for ordering and managing parts inventory on truck.
3. Schedules and prioritizes duties and work assignments daily.
4. Completes required reports and paperwork daily.
5. Observes and inspects equipment to determine servicing or further action.
6. Reads, interprets, and follows procedures described in service manuals.
7. Recommends outside contractors when needed.
8. Provides training to less experienced technicians.
9. Complies with safety regulations and protocols.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School/GED; 2+ years relevant work experience; certification by one manufacturer/government agency (or equivalent work experience).
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Leadership; 2. Peer to peer tech support; 3. Effective communication.
