About the Position:

The BC SPCA is seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinarian to join their team in Penticton, BC.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that involves delivering high-quality medical care to animals, providing exceptional service to clients, and promoting animal welfare.

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing surgical procedures, administering anesthetics, and monitoring patients during surgery and recovery.

You will also be expected to establish trust with clients, communicate effectively, and provide guidance and leadership to the healthcare team.

In addition, you will contribute to client acquisition and retention efforts, participate in business development, and collaborate with other departments to promote the human-pet bond.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work safely with and around animals, and have a commitment to low-stress handling techniques.

You should also have strong computer skills, including the ability to enter client information, order laboratory and diagnostic tests, and receive and send messages.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and confident, with a friendly, personable, and patient demeanor.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
