Your Role at Republic of Green
As a Mechanical Operations Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring smooth operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, and providing quick and innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $30 - $38 per hour, plus a quarterly 3% operational bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues using analytical problem-solving skills and knowledge of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and optimize production processes.
- Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor belts.
- Proficiency in machine shop tools, such as lathes, grinders, and drills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
