Mechanical Design Engineer

At IMW Industries dba Clean Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:The Junior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for generating concepts, designing details, and creating production drawings. This role will also involve communicating with the production team to ensure designs are cost-effective and productive.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate concepts for components and develop detailed manufacturing designs and drawings.
- Develop 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks and generate standard toolbox libraries for 3D models.
- Generate P&ID using CAD software and engineering Bills of Materials in AX.
- Review drawings when assigned and control drawings as per company procedures.
- Create detailed designs of components for IMW products, including layout drawings, manufacturing drawings, specification and selection of equipment, Bills of Materials, work instructions, manuals, material requisitions, design calculations, and generation and control of engineering documents.
- Estimate costs when assigned and maintain a safe working environment within the department and on each job.
- Perform work in accordance with IMW documented policies and procedures.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Eligible for enrollment as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Canada.
- Training or experience in ASME codes considered an asset.
- 1+ years of 3D modelling experience.
- 1+ years of design experience.
- Knowledge of heat exchanger and piping design is an asset.
Regularly required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to operate computers, office equipment; use vision and hearing when working with communication and office materials.
Language:- Ability to communicate effectively with production staff and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure information is correctly documented and put into action.
- SolidWorks.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to learn new programs as required.
