The Lead Principal Product Owner is responsible for driving business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance. This role involves planning, executing, and managing the domains product's development throughout its lifecycle.
The successful candidate will define the conception, development, and implementation of a product, enhancing user experience by improving usability, accessibility, and desirability of a design solution.
Key responsibilities include supporting the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximize operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk.
The Lead Principal Product Owner will identify, engage, and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders, prioritize work effort and resources accordingly, and conduct presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling to connect, influence, and engage the audience.
This role requires a high degree of business acumen with deep understanding of project execution risks and strong experience with vendor and contract management practices & processes.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in engineering, or trade equivalent, and experience with underground communications, technology infrastructure & mining systems, technology service management frameworks, and agile & waterfall project management methodologies.
As a Lead Principal Product Owner, you will lead teams and create an environment of trust and collaboration, with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across relevant stakeholders to provide quick and accurate responses to all queries and relevant support as required.
Requirements- Tertiary qualification in engineering, or trade equivalent.
- High degree of business acumen with deep understanding of project execution risks.
- Strong experience with vendor and contract management practices & processes.
- Experience with underground communications, technology infrastructure & mining systems.
- Experience with technology service management frameworks.
- Understanding of agile & waterfall project management methodologies.
