Job Summary

This position requires a skilled driver to operate a tractor-trailer on cross-border routes between Canada and the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer on open-board routes, covering Canada/U.S. long-haul routes.
  • Southbound freight may depart into any of the lower 48 states, while northbound freight may go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories.
  • Average 12,000 miles per month and spend 24 days on the road per month.
  • May be required to drive regional freight.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1/AZ License required.
  • Eligible to drive in the U.S.
  • FAST card qualified.
  • Ability to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year.
  • Ability to drive in California and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year.
  • B.C. Mountain experience is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Values safety.
Additional Requirements
  • Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
