Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Language Instructor to join our team on an as-needed basis. As a Supply Instructor - International Languages, you will be responsible for delivering language instruction in one of the following languages: Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Spanish, Mandarin, and Ukrainian.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Principal, Continuing and Community Education, and will be responsible for delivering the Board's International Languages program in Barrie.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver language instruction to students in one of the designated languages
  • Work under the direction of the Principal, Continuing and Community Education
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children in a learning environment
  • Proven ability to work in a co-operative and independent environment
  • Demonstrated time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience with Continuing Education is an asset
  • First Aid Certification is an asset
