About the Role
As a Staff Pharmacist at CareRx, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and safe dispensing of prescriptions to patients in long-term care facilities. You will work under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager to provide pharmaceutical patient care and ensure therapeutic appropriateness for patients.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the dispensing of prescriptions, including computer entry, triage of new orders, collation of data, and clinical reviews.
  • Ensure the accuracy of prescriptions dispensed.
  • Provide professional functions related to dispensing, including pharmaceutical care, patient counselling, professional opinions, liaison with other healthcare professionals, and documenting interventions and dialogue.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in training new staff.
  • Provide supervision and leadership in the dispensary while on duty.
  • Occasionally support offsite treatment centers with witness ingestion activities.

Requirements
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists.
  • Minimum 1 year pharmacist experience.
  • Experience in a long-term care pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Experience with Kroll an asset.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
