Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Estate Planning Services: Partner with Scotiabank and Scotia Wealth Management advisors to meet with high net worth clients and prospects, creating a positive experience for the client and the advisor.
  • Develop and Strengthen Relationships: Develop and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, centres of influence, and other business development opportunities.
  • Play Key Risk Management Role: Be responsible and accountable for always doing the right thing for clients and ensuring that actions and behaviours drive a positive client experience.
  • Contribute to Team Functioning: Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by building effective working relationships with various business lines and corporate function contacts.
  • Champion Customer Focused Culture: Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Background and Experience: Background and experience in estate, trust, or financial planning, with 3 years of wealth planning experience.
  • In-Depth Experience: In-depth experience dealing with high net worth clients and their advisors.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge and technical proficiency related to wealth and estate planning strategies such as insurance, tax, family, and charity law, and business succession.
  • Education: University degree in law, an asset.
  • Professional Designations: Lawyer or notary with experience in wills and estate planning, an asset. Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, an asset.
Language Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to be able to communicate in English, as they will serve English-speaking clientele.

Location

The successful candidate may reside in either Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, or Moncton.
