As a key member of our GAML Risk and Controls team, you will be responsible for providing risk advice and oversight to ensure that our AML business areas have adequately considered, managed, and mitigated risks in their day-to-day activities, operations, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Risk Initiatives

Design and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and enhance our risk culture.

Provide Risk Advice and Oversight

Offer sound, practical, and timely advice to AML business leaders, COE partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective risk management.

Enhance Risk Committee Reports

Develop and continuously enhance the AML Risk Committee report to identify opportunities for improving data and analytics, gaining deeper insights, and enhancing our risk culture.

Evolving the Maturity of the AML 1B Program

Align and comply with the 1B Mandate and 1B Standards by evolving the maturity of the AML 1B program.

Lead Governance, Issues Management & Reporting

Lead the oversight of risk and control activities, support business initiatives, manage change initiatives, and lead governance, issues management, and reporting.

Develop and Maintain Constructive Relationships

Develop and maintain constructive relationships with control partners, key stakeholders, and US counterparts to evolve AML's risk oversight programs.

Represent AML on Enterprise Committees

Represent AML on various enterprise committees or programs to support TD's enterprise-wide risk strategies and control function requirements.

Requirements
  • Proven Background in Risk Management

Proven background in risk management, particularly in understanding the development of and implementation of risk initiatives.

Proven Leadership Skills

Proven leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to act as a catalyst for change and lead teams to achieve superior results.

Strong Analytical and Communication Skills

Strong analytical skills in assessing risk, issues, and challenging the status quo, as well as strong communication, negotiation, and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input.

Robust Organizational Skills

Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Education and Experience
  • Undergraduate Degree Required

Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.

Professional Accreditation

Professional accreditation such as CPA, CA would be an asset.
