We are a reputable childcare centre seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a College/CEGEP education and 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education. They will have a strong passion for child development and be able to develop and implement programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and outings that promote learning and development.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in record-keeping and encourage creativity through arts and play.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods.
  • Monitor children's progress and address any potential learning or behavioural issues.
Work Setting

This position is based at our urban childcare centre, providing a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Requirements
  • Educational Qualification: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Criminal Record Check
