About the RoleThis position offers a chance to work collaboratively with our existing team of 5 neurologists, providing inpatient and outpatient care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance in our dynamic community. You will have opportunities to provide medical education and participate in postgraduate and undergraduate programs through our academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC).
The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification, be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, and demonstrate commitment to delivering high-quality community-based stroke care.
Location and CommunityNanaimo Regional General Hospital (315 acute care beds) serves as our regional referral hospital, catering to a population of over 475,000. Our location offers a unique blend of urban amenities and natural beauty, with easy access to outdoor recreation opportunities, including skiing, hiking, and kayaking.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must hold a strong background in Neurology, with experience in subspecialties such as Epilepsy, Headache, and Cognitive Neurology. A Royal College certification and eligibility for full licensure in BC are also essential.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
