The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and a passion for teaching French Immersion to students in a K-12 setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the BC Curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess student learning and provide timely and responsive feedback to support student growth and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
- Provide instructional supervision and support to practicum students, education assistants, and responsible adults
- Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in French Immersion education
- Professional certification through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
- Academic level fluency in oral and written French
- Qualification in specific subject area(s) for the secondary level
- Successful classroom teaching experience and/or pre-service experience in a K-12 school setting
