Financial Director

Adamson Systems Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our team of analysts in contributing to the strategic growth of our globally recognized premium brand.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the accounting team, ensuring the completion of all accounting functions according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards.
- Oversee the company's financial reporting strategy for internal and external reporting requirements for 3 legal entities.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure financial data is complete and accurately captured and reconciled in the Company's ERP system.
- Provide recommendations for procedural improvements and work with the ERP team to enhance systems.
- Create robust monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, close financial processes, and checklists.
- Manage customer account balances and account statements, including receivables, credit memos, and deposits.
- Responsible for all daily financial transactions, including inventory, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, billing, payroll, HST, and full-cycle bookkeeping to the standards of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Prepare necessary audit documentation and liaise with auditors.
- Deal with other CRA matters as they arise.
- Establish or recommend to management major economic strategies, objectives, and policies for the company, aligning major business functions to profitability, growth, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.
- Holder of CPA designation in good standing.
- Previous experience with ERP systems integration is preferred.
- Experience with Odoo ERP is a plus.
- Previous experience in public accounting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and lead a team.
- Experience in or with a manufacturing environment.
