Job Responsibilities

The Patient Registration I position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities include registering patients, reviewing scheduled outpatient visits, and discussing payer sources and payment arrangements.

Patient assistance with financial assistance forms, HCAP applications, and Medicaid applications is also required.

The ability to update patient accounts and demonstrate knowledge of compliance or legally required registration forms is necessary.


Requirements

Previous registration or scheduling experience is preferred, but not required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledge.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn site-specific patient processing software are also necessary.

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment are required.

Flexible schedule to fit staffing needs is necessary.


Education

A high school diploma is required, along with one or more years of medical office or customer service experience.
