Job Title: Veterinarian, Critical Care

Location: Vancouver, BC

VCA Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinarian to join our Critical Care team at the Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our team of specialists to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role:
  • Provide critical care services to patients, including stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill animals.
  • Collaborate with our team of specialists, including surgeons, internists, and neurologists, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients, including medication management and supportive care.
  • Participate in rounds and case discussions to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures related to critical care.

Requirements:
  • DVM degree from an accredited veterinary program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in critical care.
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the province of BC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
