Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to Estate Planning Advisors, ensuring timely and efficient handling of new insurance applications, pending underwriting cases, and policy service support. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to sales generating service and support to all TD Wealth Sales Channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Estate Planning Advisors, including processing new business, following up on inforce and pending cases, and maintaining application quality assurance.
  • Verify, witness, and settle new insurance policies, and provide policy change (replacement) servicing.
  • Deliver ongoing insurance sales support to all advisors within the region, and keep the TDWISI Sales Channels informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects and/or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.
  • Manage the client experience through direct client engagement or support of RM's client engagement, and provide initial stage of risk mitigation oversight for TDWISI to ensure compliant business practices.
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity, and consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality.
  • Protect the interests of the bank, identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions/activities as necessary.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite, and proactive policy management through oversight and communication of service requirements to protect client interests and conserve block of business.
  • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines, and conduct reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices.
  • Use insights into how the customer or sales team integrates with other teams to coordinate efforts and resources to achieve shared objectives, and monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist.
  • May lead work streams by acting as a project lead/subject matter expert for small-scale projects/initiatives in accordance with project management methodologies.
Requirements
  • University degree
  • 3+ years of service experience in the Life Insurance industry in an administrative or Sales supporting role
  • Level 2 Life License or LLQP (or attained within the first 12 months of start date)
  • ACS, AALU, CFP, CLU, TEP, CHS, or willingness to work towards any of these designations
