Deli Sales Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that all deli products are displayed and sold in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department, and ensure that all products are displayed and sold in accordance with company standards.
- Restock shelves, rotate stock, and maintain inventory levels to ensure that products are available for customers.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and inviting store environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
