Job Description:

The Quality Oversight Officer is responsible for ensuring that all operations meet client expectations and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This individual works closely with the frontline and administrative teams to guarantee that continuous improvement objectives are met through regular oversight and internal audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular audits and provide active oversight to ensure SOP compliance and checkpoint performance.
  • Oversee and document compliance with CATSA's SOPs and GardaWorld's Internal Business Management System across the region.
  • Provide feedback to Screening Officers and inform Service Deliver Manager of findings in a timely manner.
  • Intervene immediately if parts of the screening process were not completed or if critical aspects of the screening process were performed incorrectly.
  • Conduct and/or assist audits (CATSA CCP, CGSB, and/or Internal Audits).
  • Conduct site inspections, breach investigations, and infiltration test investigations.
  • Assist various departments with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up, positive and constructive feedback.
  • Assist with the development, issuance, and tracking of Corrective Action Plans based on performance evaluations or incidents.
  • Collect data to measure SOP compliance and Screening Officer performance.
Requirements:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a minimum of three to five years of experience in the aviation or security industry. A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Management or Auditing is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

This position requires excellent written, verbal, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively is essential.

Competencies:

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to facilitate sessions and work with diverse groups. Fluency in English is required, while fluency in French is an asset. Previous experience in quality assurance/control and screening is also desirable.

Working Conditions:

This role may require travel within Canada and involves working in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines. The physical requirements include standing, lifting, sitting for prolonged periods, and extensive use of a computer/electronic device. Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods is necessary.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
