Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver diagnostic imaging services using radiation technologies, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and training to other healthcare staff and students on radiation safety and best practices.
  • Stay current with advances in medical radiation sciences and technology, applying new knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to radiation safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current certification in Medical Radiation Technology (MRT) and registration with the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES).
  • Completion of the Intravenous Therapy (IV) and Central Venous Access Devices (CVAD) training courses.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
