Job Summary

Purolator is seeking a highly skilled GSCS Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive pre-alerts for incoming shipments and create recovery schedules accordingly
  • Dispatch runners and line-haul drivers based on schedules and resolve any issues arising from recovery attempts
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate customs clearance and work with bonded warehouses to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, and commercial invoices
  • Manage return shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of clients
  • Respond to customer queries and provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other functions as required to support the team
Requirements
  • Excellent administration skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, bonded warehouse procedures, and international trade documentation
  • Experience in freight forwarding and logistics is an asset
Working Conditions

This is a long-term contract role that requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work rotating shifts and be available on holidays.
